Dear Sudev

I am not a teacher in the ordinary sense (UG and PG teaching is different in many ways), and I am not sure what exactly flipped teaching method is. But whatever it be, if it is to be used for school/college where Maths is only one of the subjects, it should not be a method that will give greater opportunity for the best ones to shine. Rather it should be one that will help the worst ones to suffer. Otherwise it will end up like a competition. This I think is roughly in tune with the opinion of Lewis Kausel

Flipped class room technique can be very beneficial particularly for the lowest 10 percent & upper ten percent. So in my opinion both best ones and worst ones can benefit. Both group will probably improve their standards.

I have not seen flipped classroom used in our school. Probably because we have large classes and it would be very hard to facilitate a large number of people in so short a time, usually 1.5 hours per meeting, twice a week.

In social sciences and general education subjects, flipped classrooms may work.

Also, in pure mathematics subject, say Abstract Algebra, I can not see how a flipped classroom will work.
