If we have 0.012 g GO-OH, then how can we determine the amount of other materials like Y-COOH, DCC, and DMAP, in 15 cc DMF solvent in a Steglich reaction when we do not know the molecular weight of GO?
The amounts of Y-COOH, DCC, and DMAP in a Steglich reaction with 0.012 g of GO-OH, estimate the molecular weight of graphene oxide (e.g., ~200 g/mol) to calculate moles. Use a 1:1 ratio for Y-COOH, about 1.2-1.5 equivalents for DCC, and approximately 5 mol% for DMAP relative to the carboxylic acid.
Thank you so much for your time and information. I searched for GO molecular weight and the results were completely different. The GO was bought from US Research Brand with 6-10 layers and 3.4-7 nm.
