I have tried some methods using ACN:water(90:10) but the area in chromatograph is not significant.
Not surprised. There is no (or little) significant UV chromophore. You will have to use a different detector (like MS) or UV tag the molecule (try OPA).
You use too high acetonitrile concentration and formic acid must be present.
Share the concentration you have tested and the obtained chromatogram for accurate troubleshooting.
First, 90% ACN is too high for reverse phase HPLC. Your phenol sample probably would come out very early in the chromatogram.
Second, are you sure your HPLC detector is running properly? Please run a lamp intensity check.
Third, make sure your mobile phase is of good quality, and somebody didn't accidentally used acetone instead of acetonitrile to make the mobile phase.
