Foam finishing is a method that uses air as a dispersing medium to disperse finishing chemicals as a foam and that foam is speeded evenly on the fabric surface, it saves water and energy required to evaporate the water in an oven or curing chamber of a conventional pad dry method.
Foam finishing can reduce the drying cost and chemical consumption significantly, but it is mainly used for woven fabric and no considerable work is done to apply foam finishing to Knitted fabric
It is possible to do this at the entrance of the Stenter after a slight modification of the machine.
thank you for your reply, sir, we are working on modifications by adding a foam generator at the front end of the stenter and a Gaston spreader like setup made in India. But our main concern is how we are going to set shrinkage of the fabric with very little or without water. I would like to hear something from you on this topic, thank you.
