From the literature, densification strain of polymeric foam material determine by mainly two method:
1. Using the tangent method.
2. Using the energy absorption efficiency method
Kindly suggest which is more suitable and please mention if any reference is there.

Besides energy absorption efficiency method, usual static compression test allows to track densification process when the cells collapsing and further strain require much higher load (stress).

Less math models = science and results. More math models = fiction more than sicience. If I were you I would use force compression test.
