Measured data for Carbon dioxide and methane emissions in natural environments are extremely rare, incomplete and inaccurate. If we look for example direct measurements of CO2 and methane from dams found in the bibliography less than 5 sources, most of them incomplete without closing a balance of emissions.

The few jobs working for the direct determination of greenhouse gases were obtained by indirect measurements and a number of assumptions that may or may not be correct. The main problem in this separation between the location that one wants to estimate emissions from the external environment.
