Could someone explain to me the detailed procedure to perform the VIKOR method. I need help in calculating the weight that is required to perform the VIKOR analysis.
Any references for the same will be of great use.

the weights are usually based on the decision maker opinion, however, the Shannon method is used for that. A paper representing this method is also attached.

You can formulate a programming problem for finding the weight of the criteria OR use an ENTROPY method for the same. However, VIKOR method is used for finding the best alternative under the set of the different criteria.

You have obtained the elements of the normalized decision matrix in step 2 (fij). the f(star) and f (minus) are simply the worst and the best solutions that are calculated in step 3.
for a min problem, the best is the least and the worst is the most one. so for a problem with 3 objective functions, you must obtain 3 f (star) and 3 f (minus).
Is there any alternate method to compute the weights rather than AHP and Entropy.

To calculate the weight you can use Hamming distance, the Euclidean distance or the Hausdorff metric .
