I have an enquiry about using network-KDE standalone software (e.g., KDE+, SANET) for weighted crash data is there a way to use KDE+ to analyze crash data in terms of the severity index. Meaning each point has an attribute value according to the type of injury in a crash (e.g., fatal = 5, injury = 3, no injury = 1). Because in KDE planar in ArcGIS there is a population field that is used to select the attribute values of data analysis in case of analysing the data based on certain attribute values (e.g., severity ranking). However, in case of using network KDE software standalone I can’t employ this analysis! However, Dr. Atsuyuki Okabe a Janapenes researcher told me that Unfortunately, SANET does not deal with weights. However, a conventional way is: if you want to put 2 on a point, generate two points at that point. Do you think this alternative solution works and gives the same result as weighted points do? Thanks Best Regards Fathi
