I have ECMWF ERA-5 wind and pressure data in NetCDF file, and i was able to convert the data to dsf2 file for use in MIKE 21 HD model. The problem that the results of the simulation (surface elevation) using dfs2 file do not give a sinusoidal curve ( it confirms that the results obtained are false ). Please give me your suggestion.

Hi Mou, I cannot understand your question. Why you should have a sinusoidal curve? The surface elevation map will respond to the forcing, so that if you are only forcing with winds and pressure, then you will get a response to that. If you expect a sinusoidal curve maybe it is because you are forcing with astronomical tides at the boundary, is that right? If so, do you get the tidal signal by only forcing with astronomical tides? That should be the first thing to check before forcing with the atmospheric conditions.

I am guessing you are talking about the tidal evolution. If it is the coastal area and you are expecting to see the tides in your model, the first thing you need to add the tide (as water level may be) at the ocean boundaries.

I have a similar question, i created a wind fild like dfs2 and i can puted in mike 3, but the 2D output wind show a constant value in the domain in every time-step. Can you solved your problem?
