I need to run an unsteady flow simulation inside the centrifugal pump using ANSYS CFX. So, I need to know the difference between the steady and unsteady model in CFX, the unsteady interface types between impeller and volute, and the unsteady boundary condition.
Also, I need a CFX tutorial of unsteady centrifugal pump simulation.

Had you seen ansys tutorial on centrifugal compressor in ansys help? i would recommend you to login into ansys customer portal and look for resources on centrifugal compressors. to my best knowledge for unsteady flow phenomena you should perform stage transient simulation using Time Transformation or Fourier method. below i had pasted few demonstration video links which might help you.

At first, a Frozen Rotor simulation for the pump is set up and run, save the results for the initial flow field of transinet simulations, then change 'Analysis Type' to 'Transient Blade Row', specify the time step (about 1/100 or less than the time when the rotor rotates a revolution), In 'Solver-Output Control', set up transient 'output frequency'. Finally, lanuch the job, rember to specify the file presenting the resutls of Frozen Rotor simulation as the initial flow field.
