Hi everyone,
I have following problem: since now I was working on Ansys Fluent 13 version and successfully I was able to use UDF for evaporation from multicomponent droplet and everything works fine. However, I was forced to switch to next version Fluent 14 and then starts problems. When I want to run simulation I received this error:
Error:
FLUENT received fatal signal (ACCESS_VIOLATION)
1. Note exact events leading to error.
2. Save case/data under new name.
3. Exit program and restart to continue.
4. Report error to your distributor.
Error Object: #f
In previous version it works perfectly right now I cannot run anything. Others simpler UDFs like properties of air after compilation works properly. Have someone have similar problem?

You have to instal correct programing environment.
In version 14 and newer proper is Microsoft Windows SDK 7 and Visual Studio 10 or newer.

Thank you for your fast answer. However problem is little bit different. I'm able to compile udfs and run it. Most of my models runs correctly. There is inly problem with model of evaporation from multicomponent droplet (DPM_HEAT_MASS) this one doesn't work on new version. Even when I try to use example from user guide I still received such a error.
I had a similar problem when I used two versions of Ansys on one machine. After reinstalation to only one version my problem disappeared.
hmm.. Maybe it is necessary to "clean" windows from previous versions of Visual Studio and Ansys. I will try...

Hello all; There were two reasons for errors. First of all, the Fluent and compiler setup procedure (e.g. Visual Studio) has changed, which has worked so far. Because it was very complicated, after contacting with Ansys I got a special * .bat file that configures Fluent and allows UDF compilations. The second thing is changing the udf programming language. That is, small changes have been made to the names of functions and variables. A terribly frustrating matter because you have to rewrite all existing UDFs. But the matter has been resolved.
