When running comsol on a workstation (64GB ram) are there any settings that need to be configured manually? I have installed the comsol going through installation setup as you would install any software on a normal computer. My meshes are not very memory intensive, but I have long & nested parametric sweeps in my models, and I haven't seen much of a time difference running these on my laptop and workstation. So I would like to know if this is in fact the case due to nature of my models or is it due to not configuring the workstation to run comsol efficiently.

What about the processor - Is it a single / dual processor?
By default, COMSOL uses a single CPU only irrespective of the load. We need to make changes to utilize both the processors simultaneously
It is a dual processor (quad core). Where do I make changes to utilize both processors? Thanks.
As an offer, try to install COMSOL on Ubuntu system instead of windows.
It is working very fast, and allow for higher number of mesh to be solved on Ubuntu.

Agree wuth Garsha Bahrieh. COMSOL on Linux kind systems works better in sense of correct using of RAM. I had such an experience with COMSOL in windows.
I would also suggest to check your multicore settings. To do that go to File>Preferences>Multicore and Cluster computing. There ia a checkbox to specify the number of processors to be used.
usually there is no need to change anything when installing COMSOL and it utilizes the best of your system. the computing time would depend on the number of cores, number of threads per core, and the computation speed of your processor (it is shown in 2.3 GHz, 3.3 GHz etc). I will suggest you to compare these parameters for your laptop and workstation.
