Dear all, I am running some data analysis using SPSS for an engineering-related research where my DV is numeric and my four IVs are; two numeric (one has three levels and the other has five levels) and two strings with two levels each. Regarding the qualitative IVs I did compare the means (came out to be significant) for each one individually, Now I am wondering if there is a way to study the combined effect of these two categorical variables on my DV? Interaction may be? Thanks.
Since you suspect interaction, use the GLM of the SPSS. if you find any difficulty, check the help menu

Your dependent variables seem all to be categorical. You could consider a factorial ANOVA (by GLM menu) with interactions. SPSS will handle all interactions for these 4 variables. But interpretation will be harder.

I do not have that information but in your case SPSS will handle all interactions (ie, up-to 4way because you have 4 dependent variables).
You can try with different datasets which more than 4 dependent variables and see how many interactions it could handle. What is the underlying reason in your question?
I need to underline that more than 3way interactions are very hard to interpret and practically not useful.
