Calculate the Cronbach's alpha for each cluster of 6 questions. Alpha should be .70 or higher. Then you get rid of some questions and compute a sum of the remaining questions. The sums of your 4 independent you use as independents in a linear regression analysis.
It would be useful to know more details of your study first. Answer format is essential here. In multiple regression you need binary or continuous predictors and continuous outcome variable. This is MUST to know before you can proceed with anything else. Please provide more details.
It is suggested for you to check validity and reliability of your scale and after wards make composite variable for each independent variable as it will combine all 6 question under one head so analysis will become easy for you.
I am very grateful for your help and suggestions. i successfully computed all variables and able to run a regression analysis. please if interested, you can send me a mail through [email protected] so i can give you my data and analysis for verification. Once again I am very grateful!
