I've wrote a code by EES for biomass gasification in air blown downdraft gasifier and according to empirical reaction for gasificatin existent in papers, we have H2O percentage in product gas composition, but they don't mention water percentage in results and eliminate it, so How can I remove water content from syngas?1
The water in the syngas can be condensed (since it is a condensable gas) by lowering the temperature of the syngas (primarily a mixture of H2 and CO) below the dew point of water vapor. There will be no effect on the non-condensible gases (Co and H2).
I believe EES software has an electronic library for water vapor dew point.

It is common for gas compositions to be presented on a dry basis, which is what you appear to reading. It is not clear to me if you are actually trying to remove water or if you are trying to adjust your measurements to a dry basis. You can try to condense water, but that requires quite low temperatures and will never remove all of it. It also removes tar and absorbs some of the trace species (H2S, NH3) in which you are commonly interested in syngas applications. Dessicants and molecular sieves remove water at higher temperatures but also remove some of the other gases.
If you are just trying to convert your measurements to a dry basis, for a mole fraction of each gas given by f,
f,dry = f,wet/(1-f,H2O)

Thanks Dear All,I agree with you prof. baxter, In fact I want to adjust my measurements to a dry basis. after this step Naturally I should cool my syngas(degree of 800C) to ambient Temp. Because of that I want to compress this syngas to a solid oxide fuel cell.
Anyway your answers will help me.
Hello Saeed - in addition to what I wrote before (appended below as well), I don't think water vapor will have any damaging effect on the solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) as this water vapor will act only as a diluent for the syngas (CO + H2) but doesn't have an adverse effect on the catalyst being used in SOFC.

Hi Mr khalil,I exactly agree with you, I had a mistake about that and for my work knowing dry basis syngas composition just for biomass gasifier part is important and not for SOFC-GT hybrid system.

Make sure you don't dead head your SOFC - that is, have an input gas feed without any outlet for unused gas. Else you might block up the cell and it will fail. SOFC's are quite easy to 'kill' in that way and it's very difficult to clean them afterwards.
I have no idea wether my answer will be useful or won't, but as far as I know Molecular Sieves have also capabilitiy to remove water content from syngas composition. Molecular Sieves are basically zeolite compounds that strongly adsorb water content.
The biomass is to consider or used dry basis, secondly there is moisture contents in biomass which is to be calculated.
