I want to reduce the computational time of my coupled eulerian lagrangian analysis .Since mass scaling cannot be done for eulerian bodies .What other strategy can help me reduce computational time.Also i cant increase the loading rate because that would effect my results significantly.Please help
If your problem allows, you can do mass scaling "by hand" by artificially changing the density of your material. Of course you have to make sure that this is actually permissible (it will not be if elastic waves are dominant, but may be o.k. in a forming process simulation).

you should ask yourself where exactly the time dependence originates. If it is due to elastic waves, then scaling is probably not a good idea.

As far as I know, every single step during your analysis can affect the time duration of your analysis. For instance, as you mentioned, one of these can be loading, or definition of boundary coundition, interaction, etc.
I agree with Mr. Baeker. You have to know that from which point or intervals the time is calculated. Or, you have to make sure that, except loading, every thing of modelling is well done.
If still the problem persists, you can go to check some other issue like meshing of your model and so on.
