Solvent mixture MeOH/Aceton (about 1:1 volume ratio) is evaporated after reaction and condensed in recovery for using in the next reaction.
So we are looking for a simple method to quickly determine the ratio of these two components in the condensate. We would like to use something which is simpler than GC, for example.
Anybody have an idea?
Draw a reference curve of the UV absorption at e.g. 254 or 280 nm (check which one is best) and then use this measurement for a quick check of the acetone content.

It is practical if it could be operated next to our pilot production system without taking the sample back to the laboratory which is quite far from.

You should search the Web for that type of instrument ... The Hach-Lange DR6000 has a wavelength range that would work (you will need a wavelength between 240 to 280 nm), but with its 50 x 46 cm is it portable enough for you ?

Base on your idea, I took a look at details of DR 6000™ in their website. It seem that this product of Hach is adapted to our need.
We will test this method with an UV-instrument in lab for a final decision.

There's quite a difference in the dipole moments of the two solvents. Liquid level sensors that measure capacitance are very common; you could calibrate the output of the detector vs standard mixtures. All you'd have to do then is stick the probe into the liquid, and read out the value.
GC analysis will help to determine the composition of the Mix. of MeOH & Acetone
Use refractive index is a simple method (even manage by production people) and must work well in this case.
