Dear Surjit

One of the ways is to do thin layer chromatography with 3 repeats. Then You spray them separately with a gram-negative, a gram-+ and a yeast. Colorful bacteria are preferred. Incubate the plates at 25C and check them periodically for microbial growth till 90h. If there is empty area in the place of a band, it means that You have an antibacterial and or an antifungal material. You can change the solvent system, detection solutions, and check the fluorescence under UV. TLC is used for secondary metabolites. You can use SDS-PAGE and blotting, then follow a similar approach working with proteins or peptides.
