following paper is sayed to be about prepare PES_COOH and the end of section 2.2.1 say ''Then, the supernatant liquid was dialyzed against acid solution (pH = 1), and the white material (PES-COOH) was obtained.'' how can i separate 2 polymer (PES-COOH , PES-COCH3) by dialyses???

From what i see they are considering that all pes-coch3 is oxidized to pes-cooh. Dialysis against acid solution will remove small molecules and lead to precipitation of the polymer.
