Hello fellow researcher! Plants saturate, shift their core, their foundation, to essential oils. I even venture to say that they transport their soul to these. These substances, the essential oils, have a chemical composition peculiar to each plant and thus its particularity. According to Elizabeth Ko, MD, medical director of the UCLA Health Integrative Medicine Collaborative these essential oils are absorbed by the sense of smell and this connected to the limbic system can control heart rate, blood pressure, breathing. Holding rodents down can be beneficial, but there is also a downside as it can put a strain on the cardiovascular system. I believe that it is a path, but it is still a long way to go in research. Good luck! I hope I helped to ask more questions.
Dear, I do not work with essential oils. You can look for the work of the researcher I mentioned Dr Ko and there is a 2011 doctoral thesis that deals with this subject by Andrade, Leylliane de Fátima Cardiovascular effects of aniba canellia essential oil and its main constituent 1,nitro-2phenylethane in spontaneously hypertensive rats UFPE/CCB-2011-242
why not look at conducting research on humans. As we know rat research is not an ethical way to assess essential oils and the may not translate to humans
