I required to perform simulation for composite material structure of ASTEM standard dog-bone tensile specimen structure by using Abaqus CAE, when I'm running the simulation through solid-isotropic it's working properly but on shell-composite /orthotropic the simulation fails. please I need your help to solve this problem.
Can you provide a minimal example of the input file you are using to define your composite simulation or at least more detailed information about the Abaqus error message?

Wogayehu Worku Tegegne In order to define a shell composite section within Abaqus you typically need to provide to types of information:
1) The layup
2) The plies material(s)
The layup might be defined as follows:
*SHELL SECTION,COMPOSITE,ELSET=ply1,ORIENTATION=ori_ply1,LAYUP=ply1 0.125,3,CFK UD, 45., ply1
Be aware that the element type of the elements within the specified set of elements (*ELSET) needs to be compatible for using composite formulation.
The orientation is needed to specify the laminate reference coordinate system (refer to *ORIENTATION within ABAQUS manual)
I'm not entirely sure, whether it is needed, but you may have to add a general definition also on top level of your input deck (in order to tell ABAQUS that coordinate systems are used):
*DISTRIBUTION TABLE, NAME=ORIENTATIONTABLE
COORD3D, COORD3D
The plies material(s) have to be specified top level of your input file, e.g. for an anisotropic material (refer to corresponding keyword *ELASTIC within the Manual):
