Hi everybody here, Researchers community could anyone tell me how to mimic the cabling resistance in a model made in the environment SPS?. I am trying to do it so as to represent and measure the losses produced in power distribution due to the interconection own between diferents systems. First of all, I made a model adding a resistance block into my system, but when I collected the data I realized that the power losses was bigger than the energy produces by the whole system, and it is not a logic situation, hence is why I am here searching a solution or ideas in order to medelize it in my models.
Adding the resistance is the best approach and it worked for me. However, in the Simscape Electrical and not in the Simscape Power Systems.
I am not sure why the losses are heavy in your case. May be the resistance value you have added is too large for the system. If you are trying to model the cable resistance and contact resistance, the values must be in few ohms range and some times even in milli ohms.
You can use the Resistor element from Simscape Electrical Element in a Simscape Power Systems model, by including a "connector" in between. Check if this solves your problem.
