I am modeling a piled raft foundation in Abaqus, after creating geometry, and applying necessary boundary conditions, I am getting warning messages that 200 elements are distorted, and error a message of contact displacement being too long.
Distorted elements are usually not too bad - if you mesh a complex shape with tets, you almost always get a few of them. Just make sure that they are not where the stress gradients are largest (check using display group manager).
What is the exact error message for the contact? Does the simulation run at all or does it end in the first increment or even during preprocessing?
It seems that the applied load is much bigger than the capacity of your system. It may arise from the material properties or applied load.
You can check the material properties again and also be sure that the applied load is appropriate. It also may arise from the boundary condition as they may not defined properly.

I am also modelling a piled raft in ABAQUS. I used Mohr-Coulomb plasticity for soil, Geostatic step for initial stress condition. I used Aluminium pile and steel plate as raft. gravity load was applied in geostatic step and surcharge load was then applied in static general step.
But while running, it is showing that
"displacement for contact is too big".
I have used Friction conctact between pile and soil and rigid contact between pile and raft.
