i want to make a pendulum rotate in abaqus with angular velocity 5 rad/s. i defined a reference point a coupled it with one of the ends of pendulum and after it using B.Cs i defined the angular velocity (im using dynamic explicit) , but the pendulum does not move, i don't know what to do, please someone help me

Hi. Unless I am mistaken with your question, first would be to try gravity problem (straigth pendulum). Then have constant rotation of the reference, not the ball would surely generate the desired effect. That's one possibility. Regards.

After you defined what you need to study, you should use a connector that is fixed at one end and the other end is connected to you reference point. At the reference point you need to define initial velocity (at the initial step) in the predefined field loading condition. do not forget to define your step time to be relatively sufficient to see the oscillation of the pendulum, and also the mass of the pendulum shot be attached to the reference point taken in consideration that no rotational movement is allowed at the reference point.
