There has got to be an easier way to make the 3 image atlas composite from single atlas photos. Please see the attachments. I am trying to make a figure similar to the attached "atlas 2" from individual photos like the attached "atlas 1"
Can anyone help me learn how to do this without tediously erasing individual labels?
Use "layers". Open Atlas1.png, enlarge the canvas, duplicate the layer, move the "bottom" layer down so it peaks out from under the top one. You can crop off the legend on just the "upper" layers so you still have it but only once. You can also use a color selector tool in photoshop to get rid of the black labels in one layer (or all layers) if you want. If want to use the resulting 3 layered image as its own thing in photoshop, you can also "merge" or "flatten" the layers back into one.
That said, the point of the Atlas2.png is that the different levels are representing different anatomy, so it's not really copying the same image 3 times.
