I'm trying to do a test of some fluidic sensors in PBS for one month or more, and I'm running into problems with sterility. There are no cells or antibodies involved, I basically just need to measure impedance between electrodes constantly to see what failure modes arise. Is there any way to ensure that things don't start growing in my warm PBS bath? Could I add something (like a couple drops of IPA or something) that would prevent bacterial growth in the fluid?
