I am trying to isolate membrane bound protein from a number of different mouse tissues and I wanted to know if high salt (400mM) RIPA buffer would work on fat.
The Minute™ Total Protein Extraction Kit for Adipose Tissues/Cultured Adipocytes is the best way to extract proteins from fat tissues. It uses a lysis buffer stronger than RIPA buffer and combines it with a spin column-based filter to produce a complete protein profile, which RIPA does not. https://inventbiotech.com/products/minute-total-protein-extraction-kit-for-adipose-tissues-cultured-adipocytes?_pos=1&_sid=4dc367ec1&_ss=r
Defatting process;I mean study characters of fat in sample in which isolate protein is available . if it is polar select polar solvent for defatting sample such as ethanol or chloroform. if it is non polar select non polar solvent such as hexane or petroleum ether
