I am testing indirect effect for one mediation model in SPSS process and the bootstrap appeared as mentioned in the question. Is it significant? Help me in interpreting it please!
Ugyen Phuntsho , it depends on the level of the CI, is it at 90%, 95% or 99%? Let's say 95%, then it is not significant, because the CI includes zero, i.e. with a 95% level the coefficient can be zero and there will no mediation effect.
It is not significant because the intervals should be of the same sign, that is to say either positive or negative without integrating to 0, you can use JAMOVI or JASP that also allow to make mediation analysis
Not at that level of alpha. To be significant at your chosen alpha (confidence level = 1-alpha) the confidence interval must have the same sign at both ends and thus does NOT include 0. Best, David Booth
