Hello, I would like to study the effect of adding a certain protein to living E. coli to study it's effect, not by producing the protein, but and I have to deliver it by internalization.
I DON'T want to transform with DNA but "transform" let's say with the protein
After readings, I found 2 methods : EDTA treatment and Electroporation for protein entrance. But only with efficiency around 50% and damaged cells. See these

Are there other ways ? knowing I would be in favor of the one with the best loading efficiency.

You will must construct a plasmid that contains the DNA sequence that you want the bacteria express after transfection. I don't have certain if it can be used in bacterias, but I think that you can do cell transfection using lipofectamine also. It is a technique for cell transfection more simple than electroporation.
