Please can any researcher can help me to install an APBS plugin to pymol because i have download it but do not know how to add to pymol.
If my memory serves right pymol 1.7 comes with a built in apbs plug-in..
I think Revathi is right , you can also use Python Molecule Viewer(PMV) where APBS plugin is inbuilt or separately use the APBS of pymol in UNIX.
I am find it now but when i want to use it to measure SASA it cannot work ! if it possible can tell me how to use it properly
APBS in pymol/vmd plug-in generates a pdb structure in surface representation colored based on the charges. ABPS stand-alone tool might give you the specific SASA values. Or you could use other tools to calculate SASA (naccess,g_sas in gromacs or vmd tcl script).
If you want to calculate SASA only then try specific tools like Naccess(http://www.bioinf.manchester.ac.uk/naccess/), Getarea(http://curie.utmb.edu/getarea.html), POPS , may also try http://cib.cf.ocha.ac.jp/bitool/ASA/ or this server :http://helixweb.nih.gov/structbio/ etc.
