I am working on Nanoindentation simulations on grains accompanied with grain orientations. I have TSL (.ang) format which is EBSD image from an actual microstructure. I need a post processing software which converts .ang to .inp format, so that i can work on it with ABAQUS software. I know OOF2 is one of the softwares used for converting .ang format to .inp format. I have some trobules in understanding particular steps. Any other post processing software recommended, will be of great help.

You could try using Dream.3D. You could clean the mapping in TSL and then convert the most probably hexagonal grid to a square grid using this software. Also the reconstructed volumes could be exported to the Abaqus (.inp) file.

Thanks for the suggestion, but i forgot to mention, that i need to construct a 2D Representative Volume Element (RVE) of the actual EBSD image. Dream 3D is good for constructing, 3D RVE but doesn't represent the actual EBSD image. Thanks though
