Way back we did some experiments with late season peaches and plums. None did respond well (as do some tropicals like guavas and papayas or temperate fruit such as early season apple cultivars) to 1-mcp treatments - we did not observe enhancement of shelf life. May be with early season peach cultivars the results are different.
