I'm trying to use new material in Sentaurus TCAD. I have created newmaterial.par file and corresponding changes are made to local datexcodes.txt file. When I tried running, following error is displayed.
Error in "datexcodes.txt" at line 1, offending input: .1
syntax error !
Actually first few lines in datexcodes.txt is not modified and only the default one as shown below:

Datacode
"$DateTime: 2013/09/11 07:15:25 $"
"Data codes for semiconductor process and device simulation"
Kindly help me to fix this problem.
Actually the problem is due to unnecessary insert of datexcodes.txt in File section of sdevice_des.cmd.
When I removed it, problem solved.
hi Ramachandran. I am also facing same problem. I have to change parameter for strained germanium accordingly. I have found one material file for example: Germanuim.par thats it. what is the next step for modifying parameter for this file? please give me kind information step by step. you mentioned about datexcodes.text but i do not know what it is and where it is? please help me out..

in my datexcodes.txt file, but the error message "datex not initialized" is always coming out. Could you please explain me about your step. Thank you so much
