I am staining serial sections with different pretreatments.
Section 1: pretreatment A followed by staining X
Section 2: No pretreatment followed by staining X
Section 3: pretreatment B followed by staining X
There is an obvious difference in staining intensities. How can elaborate that with an illustration? Do i just put the images taken next to each other and explain what can be seen? Or is that of the kind of result one does not put into an illustration at all? Or is there any other way you would deal with such a result?
All advices are very welcome.

It is a kind of immunohistological staining where a biotinylated protein binds with ceratin structures within my tissue sections followed by color development via permanent red.
I tried various pHs during incubation with my protein.
Depending on the pH the protein binds better or worse leading to a more or less intense staining result.
The overall architecture of my sections is untouched. There are no published articles to that specific treatment.
It is comparable to evaluting different pretreatments to sections used for IHC (like waterbath, steamer, etc...). But The articles i found on that were not giving illustrations to their findings.

There are some points that you can think about them, The best way to demonstrate the IHC image, first of all, is to choose positive and negative control for your antibody, then you can compare the reactivity of your antibody in the stained sections versus positive control. In the next step, you can compare the effect of your pretreatment at the level of epithelial changes like the thickness of epithelium and the number of glands, blood vessels and immune cells in the stroma also cellularity of the stroma is important to pay attention. there are several factors that you can take into account based on what you are looking for in the treatment.

Controls are included. The staining intensity is not different at ceratin structures. Its generally either in high or low intensity.
Do i just write that finding down or do i make an illustration for it? If so, how would you arrange it?
