I am preparing 10% Ammonia solution by dissolving required quantity of ammonium hydroxide or ammonium nitrate. The smell is very pungent and I want to get rid of the smell. How to do that?
We got very good results when we produced a fog of water droplets by means of a piezo electric humidifier and we blew these particles by means of an electric wind (Forgotten Pollution) through the smelling airflow. This is shown on page 11 of 3-36_2009D1_Pollutions_Olfactives_solution_classique_et_la_solution_BIOSFERICS
If the quantity involved is far less, then a Taylorscope, a Taylor cone electrospray can do the job without problems. In the links is shown how to built a Taylorscope yourself and how to verify the output of the device.
Thanks a lot. I was going through the presentation. I will translate and see. I think it is in Dutch. I will let you know if any doubts are there. Thanks again. Regards
No it is in French. It concerns tests carried out in high density stables for pigs and poultry, to take away the ammonia smell that irritates the animals.....
