I would like to analyze structure of modifiers adsorbed on metallic nanoparticles. There are no methods suitable for colloid in water (NMR not working so good) and FT-IR in water is practically useless. What about Raman - I have no experience in this technique?

I also think about analyzing dray particles deposited on eg. Silicon wafer by Tip-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (TERS) – is it possible collect Raman spectrum from one selected nanoparticles?

Any suggestions will be very hopeful.
