I would like to use Multi-temporal images for research. I am research in change detection in SAR images. Can any of you help me how I can get two images from same place at different time?
For ESA SAR missions (ERS-1/2, Envisat & Sentinel-1) products acquired exactly one repeat period/cycle apart will be over the same region of the Earth and so are suitable for building up a set of multi-temportal scenes. ERS-2 and Envisat were placed in a 35 day repeat period with 501 orbit per cycle. So if you pick the same frame number for orbits seperated by 501, you will have the same location on the Earth. Sentinel-1 is in a 12 day repeat period with 175 orbit per cycle - since there are no frames, if you select a particular time, you will again image the same location (the time may vary by a second or 2). The selection tool in the Sentiel-1 Data Hub (https://scihub.esa.int/) will also help in selecting multi-temporal images (you can select a particular area to find out what data is available).
You can get multitemporal images at free of cost from sentinel data hub. The data can be processed with Sentinel Application Platform (SNAP) tools. The following options are available in that software.
