Dear Professionals,
My research topic for M. Phil. is " Social Security in manufacturing Industry in India". I am interested in quantitative methodology as I am from mathematical and statistical back ground. Now my issues are 1) How can I frame research questions?
2) How can I set hypothesis(both H0 and Ha) and how many
hypotheses can I set?
3) What is the best method of analysis to test my hypothesis?
4) What kind of research questions can I set, please give
examples?
Kindly share your views and I am extremely thankful to you all in advance. your views with clear explanation and illustration are of a great assistance to me.

These questions are so basic and so broad that they cannot be addressed effectively by brief answers on a forum such as this. Instead, I suggest you do some reading in text books that cover these subjects, such as Babbie, The Practice of Social Research, or Schutt, Investigating the Social World.

Social security is all-embracing and so is a very wide concept. What does it mean and how is it measured? You may need to narrow its scope to apply it to India. Indian security has its peculiarities? The scope will have to be narrowed down further to apply it to manufacturing industry in India. This will help in the formulation of the research questions and hypotheses.
