I have an organism A which is recently sequenced. I want to find the organisms that are phylogenetically closer to organism A. I want to find the closest organism whose genome should already be sequenced. I need to find the (sequenced) organism B not only on the basis of 16S rRNA, but instead it should have high sequence similarity on genome level.
Chemotaxanomic studies like G+C analysis, cellular fatty acid analysis, and peptidoglycan linkage are going to be useful to study the organisms more closely in your case. Comparison can be done very easily by jotting down your organism results and values from the other organisms that are closely similar and you could get other organisms data in most of the IJSEM journal publications (organisms closely related to your organism)
