I search several interactome-publications already. Can anyone think of another approach? Im trying to avoid working with a cDNA library.

if i haven't misunderstood the question completely let me try.
You can collect the protein-protein interaction(PPI) data from any of the available public database such as MIPS(yeast), SGD (yeast), HPRD(homo sapiens), HSN(human) and even for Rat, Moust, Arabidopsis thaliana etc. To visualize and verify the interaction between the proteins you can open up the interaction file (PPI file ) in cytoscape (free software).
