Is there a way to explain why in a passerine species birds that were recorded producing more song flight would have more concave wings (shorter primaries P5-P8). Song flight is of towering type: bird ascends from a perch, in a steep angle, almost vertically, with shallow quivering wing-beats; with lowered wings and raised tail. At the peak of ascend the birds stalls shortly before starting to descend with a glide to a perch nearby.

Thank you for the help.
