How would you suggest to perform benchmarking of the scientific work? What could be limitations, what benefits? Does it depend on the development level of the country, or recognition of the scientific work in the country / region / institution…?
The results our scientific work must be evaluated by international standards, but also they have to be relevant for the impact that they have on the country where the university.

Bench marking your work is critical. As soon as you have significant findings publish it (or patent it); do not wait. That sets a higher (new) standard for you and the community to follow and determine if you can branch off what has been researched or advance it further.
Benchmarking is a process of continual improvement. Once you have implemented changes, you should benchmark your business again to see the results. This will tell you what is working, and where you can still improve.
Benchmarking shows you whether your performance is stronger or weaker than your competitors. It will give you a clear picture of where improvements are needed .....
