I have to analyze response of welding residual stress on effect of bending moment.
This is the step that i had been done for simulation:
1. welding simulation (apply convection and heatflux),
2. static analysis for residual stress simulation (apply welding simulation as initial load and adding boundary condition in fixed end),
3. static analysis for applying bending moment.
I had been confused while doing step 3 in workbench cause the static solution is not matched to another static analysis to make initial stress.
I appreciate if you can help me overtaking this problem.
If the model is static and common for all cases and if only the loads and BCs are changing for each case, then you can define each case and save them using LSWRITE command and use LSSOLVE command to solve them sequentially. All the results will be in a single rst file. after saving each load case you need to clear whatever loads, BCs needs to be changed and define them before LSWRITE. Ansys will write a load step file for each case and will read the loads and BCs from the respective load step files.
If it is a transient analysis then you can go in LSWRITE option. But if it is static analysis then it is better to solve one by one and to account the previous analysis results/effects you can use the command 'pstres, on' which will account the previous analysis effects as an input.
