I'm looking for specific markers for fibroblasts (TIG120), epithelial (MCF10 or MDCK) and HUVECs so as to be able to distinguish each cell type in a tri-layer construct I'm developing.
Can someone suggest an answer please?
Thank you.
Hi Kennedy,
you can use different antibodies to label the three different population in immunofluorescence:
TIG120 using anti SMA or Collagen Type1
HUVEC using anti von Wildebrand or CD31 (PECAM)
MCF10 or MDCK usian anti pan-Keratins
Good luck
Cesare
I agree with Cesare comments, however be careful with aSMA because it mainly distinguishes myofibroblast (or differentiated fibroblasts).
I strongly recommend you the use of PDGF Receptor alpha for fibroblasts or mesenchymal cells.
Best regards,
Thank you very much Cesare and Osvaldo.
I will try out your suggestions and see how it goes.
I have tried Vimentin for TIG120 and VE-Cadherin for HUVECS but the result was not pretty.
I will report back. Thank you indeed.
Best regards
