How can I dilute cyclosporin A to use in isolated mitochonria?

I would like to use cyclosporin A in isolated mitochondria. I diluted it in ethanol in order to make a 4 mM stock. However, if I dilute it further in my assay buffer to a concentration of 207 uM it comes out of suspension. Diluting in ethanol works but I have noticed that if I add ethanol in my mitochondria then my results change. Any advice on how to dilute cyclosporin A to use in my assay?

Dear Simoni,

you can give DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) a try. That should work. It is widely used if EtOH can't be used. As for EtOH you should aim not to add more than 2% v/v final conc.
