How can we recognize the kind of seismic sources are working underground like vibratoer tools, explosion, earthquake e.t.c?
If there is a stress in the rocks underground due to a fault or plate tectonic forces, the rocks will be under strain and will accumulate lots of energy. Such an energy concentration (equivalent to many atomic bombs) will transmit signal in some specific frequency that little animals and insects can sense, but humans could not.
Well, if you can make such a sensor and test all frequencies you should be able to find the right frequency.
Prior to the 2012 Haiti earthquake apparently there was signal picked up in the Ionosphere of this apparently tremendous energy at depth. If such an accumulated energy was detected in the Ionosphere, it could also be detected right here on the surface and give a warning.

Perhaps, ypu may want to chechk the frequency range of different signals. Although there may be some overlaps, it is possible to distinguish many.
