Hello,

Recently I have been faced with an unexpected issue. I bought this DNA/RNA staining reagent Syto-11 which comes in DMSO. I could see the whole solution was solidified near the tube cap, when held at -20oC. Naturally in wanting to test it I let it to thaw for several hours on ice -- no result, still solid. Thus I left it on the bench at RT for 2h: still all solid. I read online DMSO may crystallise after exposure to low temperatures.

How do I deal with it? I am scared of heating up the stock solution and affecting the dye!.. Anyone had similar issue? Please share some tips. Thanks
