I am about to simulate fluid flow in porous media using a CFD software (COMSOL). I am about to construct my 3D porous media from *.raw CT scan images token from sandstone rocks. The source of samples are Imperial college under supervision of Dr. Blunt.
The problem is I do not know what is the best software ,free preferably , to use and how ?
I appreciate any help, here.

Typical process will be: CT slices --> Image segmentation --> Convert to geometry
After image segmentation, look up Mimics Innovation suite for more ideas.

Do you think that CT scan is good for Carbonate.
I want also to generate a 3-D pore network to use it for acidizing.
