With regard to the live lecture, What kind of teaching methodology(ies) have you experienced? Were/Was this methodology(ies) effective? Why, Why not?
It seems a very easy question to answer, but apart from the lecture, there are many techniques some of the new techniques are Structured Interaction Sessions, Horseshoe method, Buzz method, Problem Based Learning, Simulation exercise, Brainstorming, Demonstration, Panel discussion, Small and large group discussion, Conference, Field visit, Workshop, Observation and many more.
Complete answer provided by dear friend "Basant Kumar". But I think it doesn't matter which live method is used for teaching! It is important to know and master the method that is used. Let's not forget that lack of mastery of the teaching method will destroy the educational content and cause a sharp drop in the students.

Selecting a teaching method entirely depends on your objective, feasibility, and mastery of faculty in the teaching-learning process. A student's level of understanding and ability to comprehend the method applied does matter.
Saeed Hadavand sir has well pointed out the adverse effect of poor mastery execution part of the teaching method.
