Photoelectrochemical? With a sacrificial reagent? What is your system? Semiconductors are not the catalysts. They are mostly used for charge separation.
We are working on water oxidation in photoelectrochemical systems. In these systems you do not need a sacrificial reagent because you apply a bias potential and form both H2 and O2. The detection of H2 and O2 are extremely difficult, especially H2.
